DEWAR MODEL 706

SILC HIGH VOLTAGE SIGNAL SUPERVISION CONTROLLER

Description:  This device is used only in sites where SILC (Scada Integrated Load Control) is installed. It is used to monitor the 1050 Hz voltage level on the 110V VT metering supply between RǾ - WǾ and between WǾ - BǾ. The output relay will pick up the closed contacts to a DIM (Digital Input Module) input on the STU (Sub-station terminal unit) whenever the 1050Hz volts on both inputs is above the adjustable threshold voltage (I.E. 1.5 V) If the output relay does not pick up when the impulse contactor is closed, the alarm ”11KV AFIC (Audio Frequency Injection Control) signal faults failed” will occur on the SILC.

The sensitivity of the two inputs are adjusted by potentiometers VR1 (RǾ-WǾ sensitivity) and VR2 (WǾ-BǾ sensitivity) VR1 and VR2 are adjusted so that the output relay will not pick up if the 1050 Hz voltage on either phase is below 1.5V (I.E. 150V on the 11KV busbar)

Adjustment: With 1.5V, 1050 Hz applied from R-W and B-W, adjust the VR1 and VR2 so that the voltage at TP1 and TP2 is 3.15V.
